1. Communication protocol conversion

   Connectable to the EtherCAT fieldbus protocol and bus terminal modules, the transmitted of Ethernet 100BASE-TX are converted into the bus of the built-in, fieldbus-independent terminal modules.

2. Flexible composition the station

   A station consists of a coupler, up to 64 bus terminal modules, and a bus end terminal module, which can be extended up to 25 bus terminal modules via the K-bus.

3. Interface design

   Equipped with 2 RJ45 interfaces, the upper Ethernet interface of the coupler used to connect the coupler to the network, and the lower interface is used to connect other EtherCAT devices in the same network segment.

4. Power supply capability  

 With 24V system and field power, the current required for the subsequent bus terminal module communication is supplied from the system power supply, and up to 10A power supply can be provided for each I/O component via the power contact points.

5. Installation and protection

   Can be installed on a 35mm DIN rail with a locking device, in accordance with EN 60715 standard protection grade IP20, operating temperature -25… 60℃, relative humidity 95%, no condensation.

6. Electrical isolation

   Elect isolation between the power contact points, power voltage, and Ethernet connection, with an isolation voltage of 500V.

  The BK1120 is used to connect the EtherCAT fieldbus protocol with bus terminal modules, and can convert the transmitted messages of the Ethernet 100BASE-TX into the bus of the integrated, fieldbus-independent terminal modules. A station consists of a coupler, up to 64 bus terminal modules, and a bus end terminal module, which can be extended via the K-bus to connect up to 255 bus terminal modules, and the process image of the EtherCAT system can be automatically allocated.

2. Interface characteristics

3. Power supply

  With 24V DC (-15%/ 20%) system and field power supply, the current required for the subsequent bus terminal module communication is supplied by the system power supply, and up to 10A of power supply can be provided for each I/O component via the power contact.

4. Physical characteristics

  The housing is a compact terminal module housing with LED signal indicators, made of polycarbonate, and weighs about 150g. It is installed on a 35mm DIN rail with a locking device, in accordance with EN 60715 standard, with a protection rating of IP20, and the installation position can be changed.

5. Electrical characteristics 

   The input current is 70mA (K-bus total current) /4, maximum 500mA, the starting current is about 2.5 times of the continuous current, it is recommended that the fuse capacity ≤10A, the K-bus power supply current is 1750mA, and the electrical isolation between the power contact, the power voltage, and the Ethernet is 500V.

6. Working environment 

    The working temperature is - 25… 60℃, the storage temperature is - 40… 85℃, the relative humidity is 95%, and there is no condensation. The anti-vibration / shock resistance meets the EN 60068-2-6/EN 60068-2-27 standard, and the anti-electromagnetic interference / anti-electromagnetic radiation performance meets the EN 61000-6-2/EN 61000-6-4 standard.
